Dubbed by some reports as 'Storm Brendan', heavy rain, wind and flooding has caused chaos in parts of the UK.

However, the miserable weather looks set to continue as the Met Office said: "This evening will be wet and windy, as heavy rain continues to clear eastwards across the region.

"It will feel cold overnight as clear spells begin to develop, with some remaining blustery showers potentially turning wintry over hills."
