With the scariest day of the year just hours away, we’ve searched the city for some of the most impressive Halloween houses - and one stood apart from the rest.
Hidden in plain sight on East Lancashire Road, Danielle Lawless’ home transforms into a house of horrors each Halloween to help her daughters celebrate the spooky holiday.
This Halloween marks Danielle’s eighth year filling her garden with the scariest items possible including a zombie coming out of the ground, a scary coffin, and Danielle’s favourite - her terrifying clown.
There's even a witch flying away on her broom near the upstairs windows.

While Halloween will no doubt be different for many this year, Danielle said she decided to keep things as normal as possible for her daughters, Elesha, 19, and Ruby, 10.
Danielle said: “I do this every year, it must be about eight years now. We try to do different themes each time too.
“I’m actually late putting them out this year, I wasn’t sure if I should do it but I thought with everything going on, coronavirus and that, I wasn’t gonna let anything stop it.”
Originally just a way to help her daughters celebrate Halloween, Danielle says she now even gets people asking if certain decorations will be back.

She added: “I just thought the kids would enjoy it, I started with a big spider web, then I got a witch and it’s just grown every year.
“This isn’t even everything I’ve got, this is just some of it. I’ve got big inflatables and everything now but I usually put everything out about a week and a half before Halloween.
“I only put it all up yesterday because I was um-ing and ah-ing about whether to do it.”
Danielle says that despite Halloween being somewhat different this year, due to local lockdown restrictions, she’s still helping her kids celebrate at home.
She said: “We’re just going to have a movie night instead, I’ve got sweets and everything they need so they’re not missing out on anything.”
