Liverpool home clash with Arsenal changed as Premier League give fixtures update

Liverpool's next two Premier League fixtures have been altered in light of the latest Government advice over the coronavirus pandemic.

The Government announced earlier this week that from Thursday all hospitality venues - such as bars, pubs and restaurants - will have to shut their doors at 10pm.

It prompted the likelihood of supporters in such establishments watching the Reds' home game against Arsenal on Monday being unable to see the closing moments.

However, the Premier League has taken the decision to bring the kick-off forward to 8pm , with the day's earlier game - Fulham against Aston Villa - shifting to 5.45pm.

With the Government having also paused plans to allow supporters back into stadiums at the start of next month, the subsequent round of Premier League games have also been rearranged.

Liverpool were due to travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, October 3 for a 3pm kick-off.

That, though, has now been pushed back to Sunday, October 4 with a 7.15pm start. The game will be shown live on Sky Sports.

It is understood Premier League clubs will decide during the international break the best course of action for televised games given fans are still not allowed to return to stadiums for the time being.
