Jurgen Klopp will want to strengthen his Liverpool team with a few quality additions this summer as they bid to challenge Man City once again for the Premier League title.
The Reds recorded a staggering 97 points last campaign but it wasn't enough to clinch a first league title since 1990 as Pep Guardiola's team retained the trophy by a single point.
City have already added to their squad for next season with the arrival of goalkeeper Zack Steffen from MLS side Columbus Crew, with both clubs expected to step up their recruitment in the coming weeks.
Well, ex-Liverpool player John Aldridge believes his former side should in fact make a move for Spurs duo Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min before August's transfer deadline.
Writing in The Irish Independent, he said: "Moura is a tricky forward who could slot into the team if any of the front three [Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane] were out and the same could be said of his team-mate Son Heung-min, although I would be surprised if Spurs allowed the South Korean to leave after his outstanding season.
"It may be that Klopp and his excellent team of scouts have an ace up their sleeves as they look for an extra striker, with their signings over the last couple of years confirming they tend to get things right when they bring players to Anfield, so I’m confident they will get this one right."
Both players were an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino's team last season and it would have to take a crazy offer for Spurs to even consider selling them.
Klopp and Liverpool will have to look elsewhere as there's no chance the Lilywhites will sell two key players to a top-six rival.
