Liverpool enjoyed the hottest day of the year so far today - with temperatures reaching 30 degrees and uninterrupted sunshine.
Merseyside has been enjoying a mini heatwave this week, and people are loving it.
The hot spell coincides with the start of the school holidays and families flocked to parks and beaches with their little ones to enjoy the warm weather.

Yesterday people came out in their droves to enjoy the sunny spell and today saw similar scenes right across the region.
Sadly not everyone had the day off to enjoy the summer fun, but office workers headed out on their lunch break to popular green spaces across the city - such as the gardens of Liverpool Parish Church.

Plenty of people queued for ice cream, and played in the fountains as they tried to cool down in the heatwave.
Others took shade under parasols and umbrellas, as it got too much for some.

The hot weather is expected to continue for the next few days, before coming to and end on Friday.
The Met Office forecast said: "Wednesday will be a dry day although rather cloudy at first, but with some good sunny spells developing for the afternoon to give very warm sunshine, especially in the south of the area. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

"Hot and sunny on Thursday with a risk of some thunderstorms overnight. Fresher on Friday with sunny spells and some showers. Cloudier with more frequent, occasionally thundery, showers on Saturday."
