Liverpool have another famous fan and rivals are fuming

Award-winning British actor Noel Clarke has revealed he supports Liverpool.

The Doctor Who star, who is a multi-talented screenwriter, actor and director, made the admission on social media.

The 44-year-old posted a picture of himself as a child wearing a replica Liverpool kit and wrote: "Just because I don’t tweet about football. Don’t get it twisted.

"No bandwagon jumping here. 34 years ago. This is what was and still am."

Clarke's post - which he shared with his 263,000 followers on Twitter - was met with a lot of love from Reds supporters who welcomed the news - though some fans of rival clubs were left, as he himself put it, 'raging'.

In response to this the BAFTA award winner again took to social media to respond to claims he is 'glory hunting'.

"These idiots giving 10 year old me a hard time for glory hunting because of the pic I posted in my @LFC kit 34 years ago." Clarke said.

"Like we won the title and with all my council estate riches mum ran out, bought the kit that day and took a pic LOL. I'd been supporting since 5 yrs old"

He later shared a snap of himself reading a book on the club's history with a caption which read: "I’m just gonna ignore you fools and get on with some reading"

The Bulletproof co-creator joins a long list of famous Liverpool fans which includes the likes of James Bond star Daniel Craig, Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, American actor Samuel L. Jackson and X-Men favourite Michael Fassbender.
