Liverpool handed potential title boost as FA's WSL stance offers Premier League hint

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have been handed a potential boost in their pursuit of a maiden Premier League title with the Football Association's latest stance.

Reports are suggesting the FA are committed to completing the Women's Super League season - of which Liverpool Women are a part of.

BBC Sport have reported English football's governing body, who ruled on Thursday that tiers three to seven of the women's game were to end their campaigns with immediate effect, are determined to complete the WSL and Championship seasons.

The report also suggests that in the meeting on Friday the proposition of voiding the top two tiers was discussed but no such decision was taken with WSL bosses said to be keen on completing the current campaign once it is safe to do so.

Though, the FA are said to want the season completed by early August which might hint at games being played behind closed doors.

This showing of commitment from the FA could be a boost for Liverpool 's men's team's title hopes with the Premier League currently suspended until April 30, suggesting a similar stance will be taken regarding the English top-flight.
