Thiago Alcantara was back in Liverpool training on Thursday

The midfield duo appear to be in contention for Saturday’s visit of Graham Potter’s Seagulls to Anfield after being pictured being put through their paces along with the rest of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad on Thursday.
Thiago has been out of action since mid-September, when he suffered a calf injury during the second half of Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Keita, meanwhile, was stretchered off in the 5-0 demolition of rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend after being on the receiving end of a wild challenge from Paul Pogba that earned the French midfielder a straight red card after a VAR review.
However, it subsequently emerged that he had avoided serious injury, with Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders confirming that he was dealing with bruising.
Keita was unavailable for selection at Deepdale on Wednesday night as the Reds secured their spot in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Championship Preston that saw second-half goals from Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi.
If the visit of Brighton comes just too early for Thiago following more than a month on the sidelines, then the Spaniard could surely feature against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League next Wednesday night.
One player not seen in training images from Kirkby on Thursday was influential Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who missed out against United with a minor knee problem.
James Milner is also out with a hamstring issue, while Harvey Elliott is still rehabbing after surgery on the serious ankle injury he suffered against Leeds in September.
