Liverpool Halloween Carnival Parade 2022: location, route and timings

Liverpool's annual Halloween carnival parade will be making a welcome return to the city today (Saturday, October 29).

The event is organised by Katumba, the city's drumming and movement group. The parade will be a spectacular ending to Katumba's Halloween Festival, which has seen two weeks of free family-friendly cultural, arts and wellbeing events take place across Liverpool.

Everyone is invited to take part in the immersive event, which will combine drums, fire, illuminated bicycles, dance, theatre and costume. Those looking to join in the fun can do so by simply turning up - as well as donning their best costumes.

The carnival parade will commence on Bold Street at 7pm. From there, it will make its way along Church Street, before the grand finale outside John Lewis on Paradise Street, which will arrive approximately between 8-8.30pm.

This year, Katumba will be exploring the theme of climate change. The group will be vividly imagining what the future may look like if we do not take action. Katumba will be taking over the city centre, turning it into a playground of imagination, fun and movement in an energetic street party.
