Liverpool greeted by amazing scenes as victory parade concludes at The Strand

The Strand was again turned red as Liverpool’s victory parade made its way down the city’s famous waterfront.

The Reds’ 13.5km victory route ended in the city centre after starting out at Allerton Maze in the south of the city. It was the same route as the 2019 parade.

Red smoke clogged the air as supporters celebrated a fine campaign for the club. The Reds won the League Cup and FA Cup - as well as finishing second in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were also beaten by Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League by Real Madrid on Saturday night. Vinicius Junior’s goal in the second-half was the difference between the two sides.

The forward fired home the winner when he connected with Fede Valverde’s low cross at the back post. Liverpool also found keeper Thibaut Courtois in inspired form as he produced a Man of the Match performance.

But despite the disappointment in Paris, Reds supporters still turned out in their thousands to ensure their side received a hero’s welcome - as well as celebrating the title winning achievement of the club's Women's side.

And as the astonishing video above shows, Liverpool’s players and staff were greeted by wild scenes as they made their way into the city centre. Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss' played over the speakers as players, staff and fans danced and enjoyed the moment. Fireworks were also let off as red confetti was fired into the air.

After starting at Allerton Maze, the parade made its way towards the Fiveways roundabout (in Childwall) and on to the Rocket flyover. From there the journey went along: Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington and Leeds Street, before finishing at The Strand.
