Liverpool great Sir Kenny Dalglish has backed Manchester City to win a close Champions League final against Chelsea tonight.
City will be hoping to cap off their campaign by winning the European Cup for the first time in their history on Saturday night.
Guardiola’s side face Premier League rivals Chelsea at Porto's Estadio do Dragao in an all-English showdown for Europe’s top club prize.
Saturday’s game will be the third time Guardiola has managed in a Champions League final, with his last coming back in 2011.
But despite being crowned Premier League champions this season, Chelsea have beaten City in their last two meetings.
However, Reds great Dalglish is backing City to come out on top, but admits Guardiola’s side won’t have things all their own way.
“Man City are the favourites because they won the league,” said Dalglish, speaking as a McDonald’s Fun Football ambassador.
“But, I must say, it is a really tough one to call. Chelsea have had a poor run of form recently with a couple of losses, but they have been transformed by Thomas Tuchel.
“In the Champions League they have put in some great performances. So, it could go either way and is a really tough call.
“My predictions aren’t always that good - but if I had to choose then I would go with City.”
Dalglish also passed verdict on fellow Scot Billy Gilmour, saying: “I’m not sure he will start to be honest. Everybody on the pitch is a key player. It’s who can dictate the key moments and who can provide it at either end of the pitch."
