Liverpool great 'disgusted' by Sir Alex Ferguson move

Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol has slammed Sir Alex Ferguson for turning up at Manchester United’s training ground.

The Reds beat their old rivals 5-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, in what was their biggest win at Old Trafford for more than a century.

Ferguson, who managed United for close to 27 years and is currently on the club’s board of directors and on Tuesday visited United’s training ground Carrington just two days after the loss to Liverpool.

Speaking on ESPN, Nicol slammed the decision of United’s former manager to visit the club’s training ground after losing to Liverpool.

Ronaldo couldn't cope with Liverpool change

There was so much to dissect in the wake of Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing over Manchester United on Sunday.

It was a result that handed the Reds their biggest ever win away to their North-West rivals and also maintained their record of being the only remaining unbeaten side in the Premier League.

The way in which the fixture played out meant that a lot of the focus in the days that followed centred around Liverpool’s scintillating attack, and Manchester United’s shoddy defence.

However, overlooked was the ease with which Liverpool shut out their hosts at the other end.
