Graeme Souness has criticised Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba for wanting to leave Manchester United.
Lukaku is intent on moving to Italy, with Juventus and Inter Milan both interested in acquiring his services.
United remain in dialogue with Juve over a possible swap deal involving Lukaku and the Argentine forward Paulo Dybala, while Inter had a £54million bid for Belgium's record scorer rejected in July.
Meanwhile, Pogba told reporters in China during a promotional tour of Asia in June that he was eyeing a new challenge away from Old Trafford.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane wants to make Pogba his midfield talisman but United value the Frenchman in excess of £150million and Madrid have already made five major signings this summer.
Former Liverpool captain Souness believes Pogba and Lukaku are part of the problem at United and says their teammates would be happy to see the back of them if they don't want to be at the club.
"It’s difficult when you have a player who doesn’t want to be at the club," Souness told the Daily Star. "Players are all-powerful now.
"Pogba and Lukaku say they’re off because they want to play for a bigger club and Champions League football.
"They already play for a massive club. United are a monster – always have been, always will be. Inter Milan aren’t bigger than them.
"And they say it’s because United aren’t in the Champions League.
"They’re part of the problem why they’re not winning it or qualifying for it.
"They don't want to be there. Well, the others won't want them there either."
