Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has told Chelsea what they should do with winger Willian.
The Brazilian is out of the contract at the end of the season but wants to remain at the Blues for the long-term.
However, Willian is eager to land a three-year-deal and the club will only offer the 31-year-old a two-year contract.
This has led to speculation aplenty surrounding the speedster's future, with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United linked.
Souness, speaking ahead of Chelsea's clash at Liverpool tonight in the Premier League, believes that Willian is actually Frank Lampard's best player and should be handed the deal that he desires.
"I think he’s their best player. He wants three years, they’ve offered him two - I’d be giving it to him. He doesn’t look like a player to me whose legs are going anytime soon. I’d be bending over backwards to keep him at this football club," Souness told Sky Sports.
Willian himself opened up on his future recently and reiterated where he wants to be next season.
"Chelsea only offered me two years and I asked for three. My goal in the next contract is to sign for three years, so I haven’t had a deal with Chelsea yet," he explained.
"This is what I asked the club for, three years of contract. If you give me that, I’ll get the pen and sign the contract tomorrow."
