Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius makes transfer claim as British clubs circle for Besiktas loan star

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has admitted he has turned down the opportunity to join five separate clubs in order to stay at Besiktas.

The shot-stopper was signed to the Super Lig outfit last summer on an initial two-year loan deal.

And according to Turkish outlet Sporx, as cited by InsideFutbol, the 26-year-old has procured a number of clubs interested in signing the German.

Karius reportedly listed the offers he rejected, he said: "This season, through my agent, two clubs in the UK, three clubs from Germany, made offers.

"I turned them down. Besiktas is very special for me."

The former Mainz 05 goalkeeper made the move to Anfield in 2016 for a sum of £4.7million.

But following his unfortunate Champions League final collapse in Kiev, and subsequent pre-season wobbles at Chester and Tranmere the decision was made to loan Karius out.

Besiktas finished third in the Super Lig last term ensuring Europa League football for the upcoming campaign.
