Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker's heartwarming gesture in wake of Watford defeat

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker made a heartwarming gesture to his opposing number in the aftermath of the Reds' defeat at Watford.

Jurgen Klopp's men went down to a shock 3-0 defeat at Vicarage Road to Nigel Pearson's relegation strugglers on Saturday, the Reds' first defeat for 45 Premier League matches stretching back to last January.

Brazilian stopper Alisson, who has made a huge impact since arriving at Anfield from AS Roma in the summer of 2018 winning the best FIFA Goalkeeper award and receiving the inaugural Yashin Trophy at the prestigious Ballon d'Or awards, was beaten three times in Hertfordshire but still had time to help support Watford keeper Ben Foster to raise funds in his bid to support those suffering from leukaemia.

Foster tweeted on Monday evening: "So the legend that is @alissonbecker has given me his shirt from the game on Saturday night to raise funds for @cureleukaemia again.

"The highest bidder will get the shirt so anybody seriously interested get in touch on Instagram or in the replies on here."

Alisson and Liverpool are next due to be in action when they travel to take on Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup
