It's good to be back

The international break is finally over and Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday against Leeds United.

Jurgen Klopp got his players back from all over the world, minus Brazil, and the Reds were pictured on Thursday going through their drills in preparation for the trip to Elland Road.

It was good to see some players return from injury while others were missing for the same reason, making the latter unavailable for this weekend’s game.

Klopp's transfer verdict

Speaking of players returning, the squad that assembled on Thursday were largely the same players that finished last season due to small amount of incoming players over the summer.

Klopp instead opted to freshen the squad but allowing players to leave and only signing defender Ibrahima Konate.

While the lack of incoming activity concerned a lot of supporters, Klopp had a message to any Red fan who was worried.

Duo available for Leeds?

With not many players arriving at Anfield this summer, losing any first-team player this season isn’t ideal.

Liverpool head to Elland Road with the availability of Alisson Becker and Fabinho in the air.

Both players, along with currently injured Roberto Firmino, are currently banned from playing for the club due to Brazil asking Fifa to punish any Premier League that refused to release their players during the last international break.

However, Mexico choosing to withdraw the same complaint to football’s world governing body has seen Klopp ask Brazil to do the same.
