Liverpool and Tottenham dealt blow

Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham are set to be handed a transfer blow by Borussia Dortmund.

Both top-flight outfits are interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt.

The star, valued at around £25million, is set to be on the move this summer, but Bild state that he will remain in the Bundesliga, with Dortmund heavy favourites to wrap up his signature.

Manchester sides battle for Maguire

Manchester City and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.

City see Maguire as the perfect replacement for the departing Vincent Kompany, while United are believed to be long-term admirers of the England international.

But despite having a reluctance to sell in the past, the Mirror believe the Foxes could be tempted to sell the 26-year-old for around £75million.

Baggies starlet attract attention

Norwich and Tottenham are both looking to sign West Brom youngster Rekeem Harper.

The Mirror are reporting that a battle to acquire the 19-year-old’s signature is set to get underway with his contract set to expire at the Hawthorns next month.

Harper, an England Under-19 international, made 16 appearances in the Championship last season.

Chelsea striker extends deal

Olivier Giroud has extended his stay at Chelsea.

The striker has put pen to paper on a one-year extension, with the club confirming the news on Wednesday morning.

Giroud’s deal was due to expire this summer, but he has decided to stay put for another 12 months at Stamford Bridge.

Hammers enter Rondon chase

West Ham are leading the race to sign West Brom striker Solomon Rondon, according to the Daily Star.

The Venezuelan forward is in high demand this summer after an impressive season on loan at Newcastle United.

The 29-year-old has a £16.5million buyout clause, and the Hammers are now the favourites to trigger it.

Cherries to pick at Leeds

Bournemouth are set for another raid on the Championship, this time targeting Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The Cherries have already signed defender Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City for £13million and are keen to add Phillips to their ranks for next season, according to the Mirror

The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals in 128 league games for his hometown club.

Gunners eye Cech replacement

Arsenal are interested in signing German goalkeeper Markus Schubert on a free transfer this summer as a replacement for Petr Cech.

According to German publication Bild, the Gunners will look to sign 20-year-old as the club’s new back-up stopper.

Schubert is a free agent after letting his contract at Dynamo Dresden run down, while Cech is set to retire from professional football following the conclusion on his side’s season.
