Liverpool get injury boost for Manchester United fixture

Liverpool have been handed an injury boost ahead of their Premier League fixture with Manchester United later this month.

That is because manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Tuesday first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker will '100 percent' be back for the clash in late October.

Brazil international Alisson has been out of action for Liverpool since the first day of the new season after he pulled up with a calf issue during the opening win against Norwich.

Former West Ham keeper Adrian has been starring in net for Liverpool following the injury setback, but Alisson is set to return when his side face United this month.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg Klopp confirmed Alisson will be back for the meeting at Old Trafford on October 20.

“There are two opinions," the Liverpool managed said. "One is Ali's and the other one is the medical department.

"We should wait. We have to see. He’s training well but it was a serious injury. We won’t take the risk with him.

"We’ll have to see for Leicester but Manchester United is 100 percent."
