Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will join beIN Sports as part of their coverage for the 2022 World Cup, according to sources in Qatar.
Stad Doha is reporting that Salah will join fellow Premier League star Riyad Mahrez and 'be part' of the BeIN team providing on-screen analysis during the tournament, which begins on November 20 and concludes on December 18.
Salah will be without international commitments this winter as Egypt were denied a place at the first-ever winter World Cup by his former Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane. The Bayern Munich man scored the winning penalty after a goalless two-legged tie to confirm Senegal's place in the group stage.

Liverpool are currently in the process of finalising plans for those not involved in the World Cup, which includes a training camp in Dubai and potential games against AC Milan and Lyon. Anfield officials had explored the possibility of setting up a base in Cape Town, South Africa, but it was decided Dubai would be a more fitting venue because of its short distance from Qatar and the ease at which players could join the group after being eliminated from the World Cup.
In November 2021, BeIN Sports was accused of amplifying homophobia in Qatar by anti-racism campaigners Kick it Out. These accusations came after former Egypt defender, and regular pundit on the Qatari-based station Mohamed Aboutrika claimed homosexuality was “against human nature" and Muslims “have a role to play” in eliminating homosexuality less than a year before the country is due to host the World Cup.
