Liverpool could be set to offload winger Harry Wilson to Burnley in a £15million deal.
The 23-year-old is up for sale after failing to break into Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans despite several decent spells out on loan.
A number of teams have expressed an interest in his services but it seems Burnley are leading the race as Sky Sports report they are in talks with Liverpool over a transfer.
The report adds that Burnley could well complete the signing of Brighton's Dale Stephens this week too.
Stephens, 31, is undergoing a medical in London as his prospective new club take on Millwall in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche has long been an admirer of the central midfielder, who played in all but five of Brighton's Premier League matches last season.
The deal is reported to be costing Burnley £1million up front, but could eventually total £2.5million with add-ons.
Whether Burnley's interest in Wilson meanwhile sparks a bidding war with other clubs remains to be seen.
