Liverpool finalise plan for £30m winger, West Brom and Tottenham battle for Watford striker and Swansea City forward set for loan

Here are your latest transfer rumours from around the Championship.

Asoro set for loan

Swansea City forward Joel Asoro is set for a loan spell with Serie A club Genoa.

Asoro spent last season on loan with Dutch club Groningen, and looks set for another stint away from the Liberty Stadium.

Speaking after a 1-0 win over Preston, Swans boss Steve Cooper said: "I can't clarify much. I know they're interested him him, but I'm not too sure where the deal is in terms of whether it's completely right for us, him or Genoa.

"I'll find out a little bit later on, but there is truth in it."

Reds have Sarr plan

Liverpool are said to be preparing to sign Watford winger Ismalia Sarr, but not until the January transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the Senegalese international to Anfield, but is prepared to wait until the New Year to complete a deal.

Sarr has been frequently linked with a move away from Vicarage Road, despite only arriving from Rennes last summer in a £30m deal.

Spurs eye Deeney

Staying with Watford, and according to Sky Sports Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring striker Troy Deeney ahead of a possible move.

Deeney has also been linked with Premier League new boys West Brom, with his future at Watford in doubt following their relegation.

The report goes on to state that Spurs could well move for Deeney as a short-term option but any deal would likely happen towards the end of the window.

Gers eye Lilywhites star

Scottish Premiership side Rangers are showing an interest in signing Preston midfielder Daniel Johnson, according to reports.

The Mirror say Gers boss Steven Gerrard is keen to bring Johnson to Ibrox before the transfer deadline next month.

The report goes on to state that Gers have offered around £2m to Preston for Johnson’s services, and are awaiting a response.
