Liverpool FIFA 20 squad update confirmed with five players updated

Liverpool have not played a football game since the Reds hosted Atletico Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League, in which the Spanish side ran out 3-2 winners, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But despite the lack of football action, a few Liverpool players have been updated in the latest FIFA 20 squad update, with five players having their details changed.

EA SPORTS release big squad updates every week or so, with a big batch of players being updated every time, but a few Reds players have been effected this time.

Here are the latest changes to the Liverpool squad on FIFA 20 as of April 2, 2020.

Neco Williams

Williams has had something of a breakthrough year for the Reds, making five impressive appearances in the cup competitions.

The Welsh full-back has been given a deserved upgrade, with his crossing (62-65), short passing (59-62), ball control (60-63), reactions (58-62) and interceptions (57-60) all being upped.

As a result Williams' overall rating has been boosted from 62 to 64, with his potential also being increased from 84 to 86.

Yasser Larouci

Larouci has also been used exclusively in the cup competitions, showing promise at left-back.

In the latest update, the youngster has had the 'Speed Dribbler (AI)' Trait added to his profile.

According to EA SPORTS, the trait has this effect: "A CPU AI-controlled player with this Trait will be more likely to go on a long run or to attempt a zigzag dribble."

Curtis Jones

Jones is arguably Liverpool's most exciting young player, scoring a fantastic long-rang effort in the Reds derby win over Everton in the FA Cup third round,.

Jones has had the 'Flair' trait added to his profile on FIFA 20.

According to EA SPORTS, the trait has this effect:

"A player with this Trait will be less likely to make errors when attempting flair moves.

"A human-controlled player with this Trait will sometimes execute a flair pass or flair shot without having used the flair modifier controls.

"A player with this Trait will use a higher lob for their short lob passes if there are players in the way."
