Liverpool FC to bring heart transplant patient, 12, to Anfield after he appears on Lorraine

Liverpool FC have arranged for a heart transplant patient to have a stadium tour after he appeared on ITV's Lorraine this morning.

12-year-old Jack has finally had a heart transplant after years of ill health which saw him unable to ride a bike or play football with his friends.

Jack, a die-hard Liverpool fan, was gifted a bag of goodies from the Premier League club as well as a stadium tour for him and his family.

Before handing him the gift bag, stand-in host Christine Lampard jokingly said: "You're a die hard Chelsea fan, right?"

Jack shook his head vehemently before Christine laughed and gave him the gift, thanking Liverpool for the gesture.

The football fanatic appeared on the show alongside his little sister and his mum, who shared how difficult it was waiting for a transplant, knowing that getting a transplant meant another family would be experiencing their own tragedy.

12-year-old Jack's story will be aired at 5.30pm on CBBC documentary mini-series My Life, which will detail his journey to get a heart transplant after several near-misses.
