Liverpool FC release new home kit for the 2021-22 season

Liverpool Football Club have today unveiled their new home jersey for the 2021/22 season.

The kit, available now on the official online LFC store, is the second to be designed by manufacturer Nike and boasts a bold design.

While the 2020/21 kit offered a nod to a classic kit from the club's storied past, the new shirt moves away from those traditions.

The new-look jersey has more of a modern feel with diagonal zig-zag lines across the front in what is an otherwise plain and classic design.

As is now the norm, leaks of the kit have been circulating on social media for a number of weeks and months. Feedback was mixed, as ever.

Many commenting have drawn parallels with previous kits worn by Italian outfit AS Roma - a side also sponsored by Nike.

There had been 'fears' that the colour of the trim on both the colours and sleeves were orange, but the club is keen to stress this is not the case and that the shirt is in fact 'all red'.

If other leaks prove to be correct, Reds fans can look forward to a beautiful away shirt design that is getting rare, unanimous positivity.

The new home shirt is likely to get its first outing this weekend when the Reds face Crystal Palace in the final game of the current league season.

Go to LFC's official online store to shop the new 2020-21 home kit.
