Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp provides Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah injury update

Liverpool will be without Roberto Firmino for their game against Wolves on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

The Reds are a point adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City who will retain the title for the first time in their history with victory at Brighton.

Klopp oversaw Liverpool's Champions League comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday night without Mohamed Salah, but the Egypt international is back in contention to play after recovering from concussion.

Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson booth suffered knocks in the 4-0 victory against Barcelona but neither player has been ruled out of the Premier League finale at Anfield.

"The famous words in the dressing room this week, for everyone, is 'it's only pain'," Klopp said.

"Hendo [Jordan Henderson] said it, Robbo [Andy Robertson] said it, but it was real pain. They should be fine.

Man City legend Yaya Toure announces retirement and reveals future plans

"Firmino, not for the weekend. Mo looked good. He was running outside and will be part of training."

Vincent Kompany's 30-yard wonder goal against Leicester on Monday night ensured the fate of the league title remains in City's hands, and Klopp says he would only start to believe in his side's chances of pipping City to the title if the Blues were three goals down on the south coast.

"We should not celebrate Brighton until they are 3-0 up with 88 minutes gone!" he added.

"Brighton, I know this team are full of joyful footballers and they will try everything."
