Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp follows Pep Guardiola's lead

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has followed Pep Guardiola's lead by ruling out the possibility of him replacing Max Allegri as Juventus manager.

Allegri's departure from the Turin club was confirmed earlier this month, leading to strong suggestions from sections of the Italian media that Guardiola would be replacing him.

However, City board member Alberto Galassi quashed the speculation last week.

"As a Manchester City board member, I was surprised to read such nonsense," Galassi said.

"He's our coach and he wants to stay with us. He can't understand why his insistence [that he is staying at City] hasn't been listed to. They [the reports] are lies."

Klopp has since been linked with the Bianconeri post but he was in no mood to entertain the speculation in a press conference ahead of Saturday's Champions League final against Tottenham in Madrid.

“Of course it's a league that I like, Italy is a beautiful country, but these rumours about me going to Juventus are bulls***,” Klopp said.

“There's nothing true about it, I'm not going to leave Liverpool.

“I know Serie A very well, I follow it and I like it but I am going to stay at Liverpool.”
