Liverpool FC legend Graeme Souness launches fresh Paul Pogba attack ahead of Chelsea fixture

Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has urged Manchester United to sell Paul Pogba this summer in his latest criticism of the midfielder.

Despite a resurgence in form following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's return to the club Pogba has struggled for consistency as of late during a run of games which has seen United lose seven of their last nine matches.

Souness has been a long outspoken critic of the World Cup winner and has also questioned his demeanour on the pitch for having a negative impact at club level.

Not only does the former Liverpool midfielder think Pogba should be sold at the end of the season, but he also claims it would be a 'dream' to play against him because of his selfishness.

“If United can get back the £89.3m they paid Juventus for him this summer, I would take the money and move on," he wrote in his Sunday Times  column.

“He would be a dream to play against. He lets you play because he thinks the game is all about him.

“You buy a player at that price to be the difference in the big games and he hasn’t been, so sell him and sign two £50m players instead.”

Pogba was controversially named in the PFA Team of the Year earlier in the week, however Ole Gunnar Solskjaer defended his inclusion.

"They play against him week in, week out," the United manager told MUTV.

"We have him in our team and of course that is thoroughly deserved. We really want to see the best from him in the last three games.

"We have some loads of good football from Paul and some other players as well. Let's make sure we focus on these three games. Players, or teams, they don't look forward to play against us and we need to get back to that."
