Liverpool FC have released a new retro 'blackout' kit

The official LFC online store has released a new 'blackout' kit based on a home kit worn in the early 1970s.

Following from the previous blackout shirts - including jerseys worn throughout the 18/19 and 19/20 seasons-  current manufacturers New Balance are now starting making their way through Liverpool's old classic back catalogue.

Earlier this year a blackout jersey modelled off the 1982 'Crown Paints' was made available - and if this one was anything to go by, you will have to act fast if you're looking to get your hands on one.

The theme was also extended to Bill Shankly's infamous LFC pre-match jacket, which was also given the blackout treatment.

This new classic '73 design is available now for £25. It comes with the club's iconic Number 7, at the time worn by Kevin Keegan across the back.

Elsewhere along the retro theme, Liverpool FC's online store also released a new 90s range modelled by Roberto Firmino, defenders Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold as well as Liverpool FC Women's team winger Rinsola Babajide.

You can read more about the 90s collection here or shop the latest '73 blackout shirt here on the official online LFC store .
