Liverpool FC great Jamie Carragher explains why Man City could slip up against Burnley

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has explained why he believes Manchester City’s trip to Burnley is a game that Pep Guardiola’s side could struggle in.

Victory for City against Manchester United in midweek put the Blues in control of the title race and moved them to within three wins of becoming the first side to win back-to-back Premier League titles since 2009.

City are favourites to win each of their remaining matches against Burnley, Leicester City and Brighton.

However, Carragher has explained why City may find things harder than they expect at Turf Moor, with Liverpool ready to pounce on any mistake Guardiola's men make in the final stages of the run-in.

“I certainly think that is the toughest one left. I don’t see them struggling in the final two games,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“Burnley away is a game you’d expect Man City to win but Jurgen Klopp is right, it’s not a match you want at this time of the season.

“It was a bit like Stoke away when I was playing. You don’t want to be playing them away when the title is on the line.”
