Liverpool FC forward Mo Salah explains what Manchester United do differently to other teams

Mo Salah said Manchester United defend against him differently to other teams he has played against.

The Egyptian forward has played against United four times since joining Liverpool but is yet to register a goal or an assist against them.

Ashley Young shackled Salah at Old Trafford two seasons ago and Luke Shaw got the better of him in Stretford last term.

Despite his previous failings against United, Salah will still pose Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team a sizeable threat at Anfield on Sunday and he knows he is under pressure to deliver.

"You can see from the fans, before and during the game, that they are really excited about playing Manchester United and they really want to win it," Salah told Sky Sports.

"There is big competition and, okay, that's important, but as a player you don't have to put more pressure on yourself.

"In the back of your mind, of course, you know that the fans are pushing you forward to play better and give even more than what you have, but you have to take it as a normal game. You need to get the three points and just carry on.

"I think Manchester United play against me in a different way to some other players. They defend against me in a different way. It's a challenge, but I'm happy about that. As long as the team are winning, I'm always happy."
