Liverpool FC fans raise same Man City fixture complaint ahead of 2019/20 season

Manchester City and Liverpool are set to battle for the Premier League title once again in 2019/20, and fans have already started to look for any slight advantage their side may have after the fixtures were released on Thursday.

City open their title defence at West Ham, marking a fifth away trip on the opening day in six seasons. But their home fixture against Norwich on the final game of the season is a welcome return to the Etihad after four years on the road on the last day.

Liverpool, meanwhile, open the season against Norwich, and end the campaign at Newcastle.

But after City fans identified their run in as a crucial point of the title race, it is the same final straight that has some Liverpool fans questioning why City have an easier set of fixtures.

The Reds play Arsenal and Chelsea in their final three games. City on the other hand, have a relatively easy run-in against Southampton, Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, Watford, and Norwich.

Of course, every team plays each other twice and the fixtures are generated randomly while still accounting for clashes between local rivals policing issues. But that has not stopped a section of Liverpool fans suggesting their fixtures are more difficult.

Yes, it's random.

No conspiracy here.

It's just a coincidence.

They're worried.

It will even itself out.

Could be crucial.
