Liverpool FC fans fume at Man City player's PFA Team of the Year selection

Liverpool fans are not happy at all at the fact that Man City goalkeeper Ederson made it into the PFA Team of the Year over Alisson.

The Team of the Year was officially revealed on Thursday morning and it was dominated by the two teams slugging it out at the top of the Premier League table.

City had the most representatives in the eleven with six players included: Ederson, Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero.

Liverpool had to settle for four of their players with Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane all making the cut.

The only player from neither of the two sides was Manchester United's Paul Pogba who rounded off the midfield.

The Team of the Year is voted for by fellow professional footballers but that hasn't stopped Liverpool fans from raging over Alisson missing out on the side.

The two Brazilian goalkeepers have both been excellent and are by far the best in the league, though admittedly Alisson does have better stats than Ederson this season.

He has conceded less goals, made more saves and has even made more passes and accurate long balls.

Yet the Liverpool 'keeper has also made three errors leading directly to a goal and a big part of Ederson's game is to be off his line quickly to prevent a save from even needing to be made. Not to mention Ederson's contributions to attack.
