Liverpool FC fans concerned by Man City testimonial decision

Liverpool fans are concerned that their key player James Milner could get injured when he takes part in Vincent Kompany's testimonial next week.

Kompany left Man City after 11 glorious years this summer off the back of leading his beloved side to an historic men's domestic treble before leaving to player/manage his hometown club Anderlecht.

Yet the legendary Blues skipper will return to the Etihad for one last time on Wednesday, September 11, and it will see Kompany playeon a City Legends side, managed by Pep Guardiola, against a Premier League All-Stars XI, made up mostly of Manchester United legends.

City made a final announcement of squads on Wednesday with one of the strikers England has ever seen, Thierry Henry, lining up for the All-stars.

They also revealed that Milner, who left City for Liverpool on a free transfer in 2015, would be playing alongside Kompany in the City side.

Some Liverpool supporters are concerned that one of their most important players is taking part in a friendly match during the international break in case he picks up an injury in the process, with others not wanting to see their player back in a blue shirt.
