A Liverpool FC fan was gunned down by Nigerian police on his way home from watching the Spurs game on Sunday.
Kolade Johnson, 36, had just finished watching the Reds 2-1 win in their latest Premier League clash on television in Nigeria when he was hit and killed by a stray bullet.
A statement from the Nigerian Police force said Kolade was shot by officers from Nigeria's 'anti-cultism police unit' during a police raid in Lagos on Sunday.
Members of the unit were reportedly searching for a suspect when they opened fire, according to a report by CNN.

The 36-year-old dad had been watching the match at a 'soccer viewing centre' and it is believed he was hit by a stray bullet outside a take-away in the Mangoro area of Lagos.

Police in Lagos said the officers who fled the scene after the shooting were identified with the help of eyewitnesses.
Bala Elkana, a spokesman for Lagos police, told CNN : "Members of the team suspected to be involved in the shooting have since been arrested and are currently in police custody undergoing interrogation."
A number of Nigerians took to social media to tweet Liverpool FC and tell them about Kolade's death, which has sparked outrage and fuelled a public call for the shutdown of the police unit concerned.
Aklonso said: "One Liverpool FC fan got shot by Nigerian police officer SARS on Sunday evening immediately after watching Liverpool V Tottenham Hotspur in front of the viewing center, his name is Kolade Johnson, please verify and honour him."
