A Liverpool fan favourite pub has reopened its doors after six months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Sandon Pub on Oakfield Road in Anfield chose to remain closed beyond July 4, the date the Government allowed bars and restaurants to reopen - but has now finally reopened.
While closed, the team at The Sandon have worked to make the venue compliant with all health and safety regulations surrounding Covid-19, as well developing a new food menu, which launches on September 21.

Ricky Heath, general manager of The Sandon Complex, said: “We’ve been eagerly anticipating the reopening of The Sandon and are delighted to be welcoming our guests back to the complex. We have carefully followed strict health and safety guidelines ensuring we’re completely Covid-secure.
“It’s been a strange few months for the hospitality industry but we’re really excited to reopen our doors with the introduction of a fantastic new food menu that’s packed with delicious, hearty dishes. From small plates to nibbles and larger classics, there’s something for everyone here at The Sandon.”

Ahead of the food menu launch, The Sandon is inviting five couples to taste test the menu, which will feature classics such as beer battered fish, chips and mushy peas; steak and ale pie and a double cheeseburger with bacon, fried and onion rings.
To be in with the chance of taking part in the complimentary taste test of the new menu, just simply message The Sandon via Facebook or Instagram. The first five couples or lots of two family members to contact, will be able to tuck into dishes from the tasty menu completely free of charge.
