Liverpool FC fans were thrilled today as the club completed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 24-year-old has joined on a five year deal after the Reds triggered his release clause, which is thought to be between £35m and £45m. The Argentinian is the first signing of what is expected to be a busy summer as Jurgen Klopp aims to rebuild the midfield.
Mac Allister arrived at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby today and posed for snaps wearing the iconic number 10 jersey. He posed alongside his partner, Ailen Cova, after he signed his contract at the official unveiling.

The two went public with their relationship for the first time last month when they attended the wedding of international teammate Lautaro Martinez in Lake Como. Several members of Argentina's World Cup winning side were in attendance such as Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez and Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez.
Ailen is not the most active on social media as she shared her first post with her 44,000 Instagram followers earlier this year: "1 kiss for my ig let's go again."
Mac Allister started a relationship with his new girlfriend two months after he was involved in a high-profile split with his ex, Camila Mayan. The midfielder was still in his previous relationship when he won the World Cup in December.
Camila sent a heartfelt message to the player as they posed on the pitch after Argentina defeated France on penalties. Despite no longer being together, the pictures of the two together on the pitch are still up on Camila's Instagram profile.
She sent the message as she posed alongside Mac Allister after Argentina defeated France on penalties. A translation of the post said: "In the last 3 years a lot happened in the lives of both of us.
"We started our adventure together living in a new place for the two of us, taking a very big step in your career. We went through moments where, besides being living something incredible, things didn't go the way we wanted.
"We were together more than ever, to get through those moments in the best way possible for both of us, and we grew together in so many ways. Suddenly—or rather, after a lot of work, patience, passion, and love—everything started to come together, and things started to come out the way we wanted. And it seems silly, but every time a match ended and you had played the 90 minutes, regardless of what had happened there, for me it was absolute happiness because I knew it was one more step for you in your career and in your goals.
"Those 90 minutes of the weekend's match started to transform into much bigger things, and today, with much happiness and pride I can say, happy birthday champion. World champ that's crazy. What happiness to be with you here, and what admiration for all you achieved, and for how you handle each of your steps and your achievements. To many more years my love. I love you! "
Mac Allister responded: "Thank you for being a part of this journey to fulfilling the biggest dream. As always, a guy of few words but the gratitude will be eternal. I love you."
However, Camila was rocked when their relationship came to an end soon afterwards. According to the Daily Star, she was reportedly friends with Mac Allister's current girlfriend and said she felt betrayed during an interview with Argentinian chat show, Intrusos en el espectáculo.
She said: "Everything that happened, I could have never imagined even in my worst nightmare."
