Liverpool fans will love what Jurgen Klopp has said about Arsenal's Invincibles

It has been a superb first half of the season for Liverpool.

The Reds sit top of the Premier League with 58 points from 20 games, having won 19 times and drawn just once in the top flight so far this season.

Jurgen Klopp's men have also added the European Super Cup and Club World Championship trophies to their cabinet, following on from their success in the Champions League last season.

But amid comparisons with Arsenal's Invincibles team from 2004, Klopp has brushed off suggestions of emulating what Arsene Wenger's team achieved by going a whole season unbeaten.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of a trip to face Jose Mourinho's Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend, Klopp was asked about whether he has thought about his side becoming the next side to go through a Premier League season unbeaten.

In response, he said: "Oh my God, who sends you out asking these questions?

"Haven't thought a second about it. We wouldn't have won so many games had we done that. Other teams never set a record because they wanted a record, you need to be focused. My big problem now is Spurs. How they think and play. Only concern."

Liverpool have not been beaten in the Premier League since last January, when they lost 2-1 to Manchester City, while they have not been beaten at home in the top flight since April 2017, when Crystal Palace claimed a 2-1 victory on Merseyside.
