Liverpool fans will love Shakira's reaction to Barcelona's Anfield Champions League semi-final collapse

It's the gift that just keeps giving... Liverpool 's jaw-dropping Champions League semi-final fightback against Barcelona back in May has provided six months worth of mind-searingly brilliant photos, videos, memes and memories.

And they just keep on coming.

The Blaugrana themselves have this evening released a video on their Twitter feed called '#MatchDay Mini-Trailer with Shakira', which features the world-famous Columbia-born pop star - who is married to Barca captain Gerard Pique - watching the game at home with the couple's two young children.

It begins with a shot of a Barcelona fan in the Anfield Road end holding his head in his hands after Divock Origi's opener, with the caption reading 'Liverpool scored a goal in the 6th minute of the first half'

The action then switches to the build-up that led to the soaring Gini Wijnaldum header which levelled the scores at three apiece, specifically the interchange between Xherdan Shaqiri and James Milner on Liverpool's left flank that led to the goal, with the caption saying 'Another [goal] of the 8th of the second, 2-0, one goal away from drawing the tie'

The camera suddenly switches to the Pique family home where Shakira (no relation to the Reds midfielder..) is watching the match cosily in bed with the kids.

One of them says, "If it stays like this, it doesn't matter. We'll go through to the final" and Shakira replies "Yes honey"

The child continues "But.." and something happens at Anfield. Something BIG.

Shakira shouts "No! I can't believe it! No!" and grabs her son before turning away from what she is seeing in horror and eventually turning back to the screen, looking fairly distraught.

So what happened? Did the cable go out? Had she left the oven on?

Or had Gini Wijnaldum just leapt like a salmon and arched his back to angle a perfect header into the corner of the Kop net to send Anfield into sheer ecstasy and the decibel levels inside the ground off the charts?

The clip is part of the trailer for a new documentary series, 'Matchday', showing FC Barcelona 'from the inside' that will be released in Europe through VOD platform Rakuten TV later this month.

Some Barca fans may be wondering whether they chose that clip and perhaps will not appreciate too much being reminded of surely one of the club's worst moments in recent years.. but we are!
