Liverpool fans will love Champions League supercomputer prediction after Man City loss at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 defeat of Manchester City on Tuesday night could change this season’s Champions League winner.

Son Heung-min's solo effort gave Spurs the win in the first ever European game to be held at Tottenham’s new £1bn home and it has put Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the driving seat to get through to the final four for the first time in club history.

Heading into Tuesday night’s meeting, statistical analysis website FiveThirtyEight gave Tottenham just a 21% chance of beating Man City over two legs to book a place in the semi-finals.

As the 79% favourites to go through, City were also named the favourites to win the entire Champions League with a 35% of going all the way and lifting the famous trophy for the first time on June 1.
