Liverpool fans will agree with Eden Hazard comments about the Ballon d'Or

Eden Hazard believes a Liverpool player should win the Ballon d'Or award in December.

The former Chelsea attacker is now with Real Madrid and insists that the winner of the Ballon d'Or should come from the European Champions.

The award is announced on December 2 and Hazard says that Sadio Mane, who has scored 29 goals in 2019, would have been the winner had he triumphed in the African Cup of Nations.

And Hazard admits it could be Mane, Virgil van Dijk or his former Chelsea team-mate Mohamed Salah who wins the gong next week.

"I'll give it to a Liverpool player," he told  Le Parisien . "Mane, Salah or Van Dijk deserve it.

"If Sadio had won the African Cup of Nations with Senegal, there would have been no debate.

"It would be nice if he had it. Or Momo, who is a friend of mine. It would be good for African football and for English football."
