Liverpool fans troll Man United supporters after Leeds United's stunning win over Fulham

Leeds United have beaten Fulham 3-0 to keep their automatic promotion bid on track.

After a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff in their first game back after the season restarted, Leeds were desperate to bounce back in what was a crucial clash against Fulham.

But Marcelo Bielsa's side showed no signs of a hangover with goals from Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison sealing a huge three points at Elland Road.

Despite Fulham threatening on occasions in the first half, Leeds scored at crucial times to leave the visitors frustrated.

The result moves Leeds three points clear of West Brom, and establishes an eight point cushion over third-placed Brentford.

The Whites next host Luton Town on Tuesday night, before travelling to Blackburn next weekend.

But if social media is anything to go by, Leeds supporters believe the victory over Fulham has set the tone for the next few weeks, and believe promotion is surely on its way.

Indeed, some Liverpool supporters also took to Twitter to troll Man United by pointing out that the Red Devils' two biggest rivals are set for successful seasons.

One tweeted: "Leeds getting promoted and Liverpool winning the league. Literally imagine being a United fan."

Another posted: "Liverpool champions and Leeds coming up."
