Liverpool fans think Memphis Depay has dropped transfer hint with reaction

Memphis Depay was among the Holland stars who greeted Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum at the team hotel following their Champions League success.

A video posted by the Netherlands' official Twitter account showed the Holland players waiting in the foyer for the Reds duo to arrive.

As they made their way inside they were greeted by raptures of cheering and applause from their international team-mates.

Van Dijk and Wijnaldum looked to be reveling in the moment and made a point to shake the hand of every player and member of staff in the room.

One man took the celebrations a little further than most though and after the initial excitement died down he was the only one still dancing.

That man was former Manchester United forward Depay, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months.

The Holland international appeared to put the rumours to bed a few weeks ago when he posted an image of himself wearing a Man United shirt with Cantona's name on the back.

Reds supporters interpreted the post as a clear indication of where his loyalties lie.

But his excitement over Liverpool's Champions League win has many convinced he might have just changed his mind.

"The way Depay is so happy, I hope we sign him," tweeted one Liverpool fan, while another added: "Depay looks excited there. I know he and Gini are mates but just leave me to think he's joining us."

A third said: "Just bring in Depay, he wants to be a Liverpool player," and a fourth concluded: "Hear Depay go 'championeee', mate next year you can sing that a lot more."
