Liverpool fans tell FSG to hijack Everton transfer move to replace Neco Williams

Liverpool fans have urged the club to sign Denzel Dumfries after his impressive displays at Euro 2020.

Everton are said to be one of the clubs eyeing a move for the 25-year-old who has two goals so far at the tournament from right-back.

It was reported earlier on Monday that backup full-back Neco Williams could be set to leave Liverpool after the European Championships in a bid for more first-team football with Conor Bradley looking to step up from the U18s.

Bradley made his debut for Northern Ireland's national team, during the break upon completion of the 2020-21 season.

Holland made it two wins from two with Dumfries scoring the final goal against Austria to secure their spot in the Round of 16. His header late on against Ukraine spared the blushes of manager, Frank de Boer after they squandered a two-goal lead.

Williams, 20, is currently with Wales at the Euros and featured in their final group game against Italy. Despite the defeat, they booked their place in the knockout stages. Leeds, Southampton and Burnley are among the clubs looking to sign the Welshman, who could leave Liverpool for £10m.

Liverpool fans are keen to ensure the Reds aren't left short at right-back next season after the various centre-back injuries of last campaign and believe hijacking Everton's potential move for Dumfries would be a masterstroke.

According to reports published by Sky Germany, the PSV defender has a €15m (£12.8m) release clause amid interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The defender insists he is solely focused on the European Championship amid the constant talk over his future.

He said: "I just play my game as I always do. I'm not at all concerned. I concentrate fully on the tournament. There is still a lot of room for improvement.

"I want to grow in knowing how to choose the right position in the possession phase, in the passages, so that I can make the right choice in advance and improve my performance."
