Liverpool fans spot Ibrahima Konate squad number hint and other details in latest post

Liverpool fans have noticed some small details in recent social media posts made by Ibrahima Konate, including the defender's potential squad number.

The 22-year-old became the Reds’ first signing of the summer last month, joining on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig.

He put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Anfield after the club paid his £36m release clause with the Bundesliga outfit.

Konate has been on holiday for the past few weeks since the deal to take him to Liverpool on July 1 was confirmed.

In a recent Instagram post, Konate filmed a video showing several people holding red flares with You’ll Never Walk Alone being played in the background.

The defender tagged the post with the location of the French Riviera and the caption reads 'thanks for all Big Boss' with a mention to Melcy Luxury, a concierge service.

Now some more posts have surfaced, which Liverpool fans with a keen eye spotted featuring some more resemblance to Konate’s new club.

One picture showed Konate posing in front of a cake decorated with the Liverpool badge, accompanied by several bottles which appear to show the defender posing in a Reds shirt in front of the club’s badge.

Another post shared by one fan page seems to give a hint at the number he will wear at his new club.

Konate wore number six while at RB Leipzig but it seems he could be taking over Gini Wijnaldum's number after the midfielder's move to Paris Saint-Germain, with one picture showing him posing next to a number five balloon.

The centre-back is due to be at the AXA Training Centre for the start of pre-season training at Liverpool in the middle of next month.
