Liverpool fans send transfer wish to Gini Wijnaldum after Paris Saint-Germain deal confirmed

Liverpool fans have been reacting to the recent announcement surrounding Gini Wijnaldum.

It has now been confirmed that the Dutchman will sign for Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of this month.

Wijnaldum has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, who finished second to champions Lille last term.

The news means Wijnaldum’s five-year spell at Anfield officially comes to an end, during which time he made 237 appearances for the club and won four major trophies.

Despite it being clear for some time that Wijnaldum would leave the Reds this summer, Liverpool fans have still been reacting to the news.

Kopites have taken to Twitter to post their thoughts and emotions on Wijnaldum’s departure.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

Sachin Yay: “Take good care of him boys. YNWA Gini.”

SteArrow1981: “He’s gone, thanks for the memories let's move on.”

Calum Thorpe: “Good luck Gini, wish you nothing but the best.”

Owen Fanning: “Ay Gini, give that Mbappe a shove in the direction of Anfield lad.”

Peter: “Agent Gini. Mbappe to Liverpool confirmed.”

Domi: “Absolute monster of a player! Hope he finds what he wants at PSG.”

Louis Dangoor: “Good luck. Undoubtedly one of the key reasons Liverpool were able to win the Premier League and Champions League in back-to-back seasons.”
