Liverpool fans send 'seriously embarrassing' message to Manchester United

Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media to the Manchester United team to take on Leicester City this evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a raft of changes from Sunday’s win at Aston Villa, with Mason Greenwood the only player to survive.

In total the United boss has made 10 changes to his starting line-up, with 18-year-old duo Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga both being handed their Premier League debuts.

If required, United have an embarrassment of riches on the bench, which features Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

United again need to avoid defeat to prevent Manchester City from being crowded Premier League champions.

While Leicester are in need of all three points to keep their Champions League dreams on track after Friday’s defeat to Newcastle United.

But reacting to the line-up on Twitter, Liverpool supporters have been left less than impressed with the calls United boss Solskjaer has made.

Solskjaer had previously hinted that he will rest a host of his United stars against Leicester in order to keep them fresh for Thursday’s game with Liverpool.

He said: "I wish I could have said let's go full out in all of the games but it’s impossible.

"That’s the hard bit for me, knowing if I do play this XI on Tuesday and then again on Thursday it’s impossible, I run too much of a risk in injuring them.

“Talking about integrity in the league and stuff, don't blame me when I have to make changes because I have to.

“It's not safe for them to play all four so I have to prioritise. I wish I could have said ’let's go full out in all the games’ but it's impossible.

“That's the hard bit for me, knowing if I do play this 11 on Tuesday and then again on Thursday it's impossible. I run too much of a risk in injuring them.”
