Juventus forward Federico Chiesa lit up the Champions League on Tuesday night, helping his team to a comprehensive 4-2 win over Zenit Saint-Petersburg.
The winger scored one of the goals of the day in Europe's elite club competition, darting infield from the left flank past a defender and lashing a fierce shot beyond the goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
The Italian impressed for his country in the summer at the European Championships and he's carried that momentum into the start of the new domestic season.
Liverpool have been tentatively linked with the former Fiorentina man in the past and there's no doubt his direct attacking style would be a brilliant fit for Jurgen Klopp's red machine.
Unsurprisingly, Reds fans were out in force on social media after Chiesa's goal and it would appear the winger would be a popular acquisition if he was to trade Turin for Merseyside in the future.
With Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane set to be absent for a stint in the new year because of the Africa Cup of Nations, Liverpool would benefit from adding another attacking option to their ranks.
However, Chiesa is currently the crown jewel of an exciting Italian setup and it would likely take an astronomical amount to prise him away from the Bianconeri in the near future.
Juventus are struggling down in ninth place in Serie A, although in the Champions League they have shown glimpses of what they are capable of with wins in all four of their group games, including one over European champions Chelsea.
