Liverpool fans say the same thing after Patson Daka scores his first Leicester goal

Liverpool fans believe the club missed a trick by not signing Patson Daka after watching the forward open his account for Leicester in a friendly against Queens Park Rangers.

The Foxes faced QPR in an entertaining pre-season game at Loftus Road on Saturday which saw Daka bag his first goal in a Leicester shirt.

The 22-year-old scored one and earned a penalty as the Premier League side came from behind twice to eventually earn a 3-3 draw.

Daka had been linked to the Reds earlier this summer who are interested in adding to their forward line this summer and have a good relationship with the Red Bull franchise.

However, the Zambian completed a £23million move to Leicester to link up with former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers, much to the dismay of many Liverpool supporters.

And after Daka dazzled against QPR, fans expressed their frustration at Liverpool missing out on what they believed would have been a perfect addition to the front line.

Ibrahima Konate remains Liverpool's only transfer of the summer window with one month remaining until business closes.

The ECHO understands both Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi are allowed to leave the club if a suitable offer arrives.

However, Jurgen Klopp would only sanction an exit if they pushed to leave the club. Shaqiri has been vocal about his desire for a new challenge and is attracting interest from Italian and Spanish clubs.
