The left back has started just five games in all competitions so far this season and has registered two assists.

Tsimikas played the full 90 minutes against Crystal Palace a couple of weeks ago but was an unused substitute against Brentford at the weekend.

After a difficult afternoon for the Reds' back four against Brentford, supporters were expecting a number of changes to be made midweek.

However, Klopp has opted for consistency over rotation with James Milner for Trent Alexander-Arnold the only change from the weekend.

Tsimikas has impressed when called upon so far this season after a difficult start to life at Anfield last term.

The 25-year-old is only two appearances away from matching his tally for the entirety of the previous campaign.
